Born in 1950, Bishop Declan has been Bishop of Clifton since 2001. He was originally a priest of the Diocese of Portsmouth having been ordained in St John's Cathedral by Bishop Derek Worlock on June 7th 1975.
Within the Bishops' Conference of England and Wales Bishop Lang is Chair of the Bishops' Conference Department for International Affairs and sits on the Mixed Commission of the Conference of Religious. He is aso the Chair of Missio- the Pontifical Missionary Societies.
Most Foundations have a Summer break with no meeting in August.
